What is an Earned Channel?
An Earned Channel is any marketing channel where visibility is gained when other people or organizations share content about your company with others. “Word of mouth” is a common expression to highlight the earned channel. The earned channel is different from the owned, or organic channel because the earned channel does not include self-created content.

An End-User is the final consumer of, for example, a software product. For a company selling a game, the end user is the company’s customer. For a company selling an SDK, the customer’s customers are instead usually the end user.

What is a Feature-Locking Licensing Model?
Feature-Locking Licensing Model where you create different versions of the product with different feature sets. For example, a company can sell a Lite version of the software with a limited set of features, and charge more for a Pro version with all of the features.

What is a Floating Licensing Model?
A floating licensing model allows software license creators to limit the number of computers or machines that can use the same software license at the same time. For example, a client can install the software on 100 computers but only be able to use it on 10 of them at a time.
